Staff seem genuinely friendly Views from the bedroom are fantastic Service is good
A recycling policy would be good. I never like to see staff outside smoking at a place which serves food

Its location at a short distance from a round stone artillery fortress was amazing. I was here for 3 nights and ate at Michelin-starred restaurant with a beautiful decor. The place had a quiet atmosphere. This hotel was quaint and I will be back...

Excellent location on the seafront with a good view through french windows over a bustling harbour. Excellent food and well deserves its two rosettes. Friendly and efficient staff.
Not directly related to the hotel but as they have very limited car parking most guests use the council car park opposite. Be careful here as the description of charges is confusing and only coins are accepted, not notes or credit cards.

Staff could have been more attentive when we arrived.

We have stayed here before. We love the seafront location and the food was excellent. The hotel is very comfortable although the bedrooms need upgrading.

The view of the harbor from the room and the terrace. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner. There was public parking a short distance away at a reasonable price. We took the ferry to Falmouth and up the river to Truro.
It is a old, historic hotel with no elevator.

The staff, as always, are all very friendly and it is particularly pleasing to see the same faces again and again, some of whom now recognise us
Nothing - everything is superb

The view from our bedroom and the dining room was superb, though not all bedrooms would have had the same view. The food was of a very high standard, much higher than I would expect from a hotel of this level.
Lack of car park, which is unavoidable due to location. Reception area is a little scruffy and belies the rest of the hotel. Wardrobe space in room is very limited.

Most staff were helpful particularly the Reception staff. The chief receptionist in particular. The dining staff lacked direction and I would put this down to the Manager. The rooms were tired in places as if someone has updated some parts e.g exceptional bathroom, stained bedroom carpet etc. This also applied to the meals .Some parts were excellent and at another time I was served uncooked pasta and a freezing cold lobster burger. A strange mixture of experiences and a great shame as because of it's location this could be a wonderful hotel but it needs effective management.

I bought this reservation as a gift for my son and daughter in law. They were desperately disappointed with the standard of the room. " Not up to the standard of a back street B&B " was their description. Very poor reaction from the staff. Not a place to be recommended.

The Idle Rocks provided a superb experience with amazing coastal views from my room and a comfortable working space. The attentive staff effectively assisted with my business needs. The culinary offerings were really good, notably the local seafood dishes which showcased the region's flavors beautifully.
Limited menu options for special dietary needs.
